Re-valuing our rangelands

7 Aug 2012 - 1:00pm - 8 Aug 2012 - 5:00pm

How do we assess the value and condition of our rangelands? Does carbon storage offer new financial opportunities to land owners? Is there significant conservation value in our rangleands? Does improving biodiveristy really improve productivity?

These a key questions being addressed by a gathering of experts at the 15th Murrumbidgee Landcare Annual Forum being held in Hay on 7th & 8th August. Hosted by Hay Trees on Plains Landcare group, the forum will focus on the science of rangeland monitoring and how such information can be used by graziers to improve their business and rangeland condition.
