The membership of Murrumbidgee Landcare Inc (MLi) is made up of a representative of each of the 15 Landcare Networks in the catchment. Generally the Chair of the Network is the MLi representative. There are 12 Landcare Networks in NSW and three in the ACT. Sadly, due to lack of resources and support, three key Networks in NSW have now disbanded; Central Riverina Landcare Network, Cootamundra Landcare Network and Lower Murrumbidgee Landcare Network.
The MLi committee meets quarterly to address key issues facing the Landcare movement in the catchment and more broadly. The meeting includes reports on what is happening at a state level with Landcare NSW and at a national level with the National Landcare Network.
The next meeting of the committee will be held on 12th August 2011 at 9.30am. We will be meeting in the conference room at the Wagga Agricultural Institute, the site of our new office accommodation.
