Over the past few decades, changes in both land use and climate have contributed to the degradation of Western Riverina Landscapes. Loss of native vegetation has been a major factor in decreasing both biodiversity and productivity throughout the region.
With assistance from Murrumbidgee Catchment Management Authority, Hay Trees on Plains Landcare helped to design and build a state-of-the-art direct seeder, which is available for hire by Landcare Group members, and will also be used by Murrumbidgee CMA to achieve biodiversity targets in the Catchment.
If you’d like to hire the seeder, or would like more information on native revegetation please contact Bill Auldist at Murrumbidgee CMA on (02) 6993 2070.
